Thought of the week

by Father Ghislain Ndondji OFM

The choices we make today determine our future
Today, I call heaven and earth to witness against you: I am offering you life or death, blessing curse. Choose life, then, so that you and your descendants may live” (Deuteronomy 30:19)

Our choices today will have an impact on our future, the future of our children and our grandchildren; on the future of the Church. What legacy do we want to leave to future generations? This text tells us that life or death, blessing or curse is not a coincidence. Our choices today have a great influence on what we will be tomorrow. This power to choose is ours. What will we choose: good or evil?
