Thought of the week

You can always count on God
When everything is not well, when all seems unable function, there is always something to do: trust God. A friend of mine told me that a few years ago, that unfortunate events have come and gone in his life: the death of both his parents in a traffic accident. A year later, he was separated from his wife. The following year, he lost his job and immediately after, as if all this were not enough, his only child died, a 19 year old girl. Everything was going wrong for him. In his distress, he fell on the words of the Bible: “How long, Yahweh, will you forget me? For ever? How long will you turn away your face from me? How long must I nurse rebellion in my soul, sorrow in my heart day and night? (…) As for me, I trust in your faithful love, Yahweh. Let my heart delight in your saving help, let me sing to Yahweh for his generosity to me, let me sing to the name of Yahweh the Most High!” (Ps.13, 2.6). He told me that inspired Word has helped him count now about God. You also despite what you live, you can count on God.
